Now I want you to go back and reflect on what you wrote - are your thoughts positive or negative? Can you see a reoccurring theme? Where have these thoughts come from? Are these thoughts serving you?

Remember we are not judging. Assess your thoughts with love, compassion and a little bit of humour.

Spend 10 - 15 minutes simply writing down your thoughts. It may seem a bit daunting at first but set the timer and go.

I recommend doing this over period of time. Usually a week is enough to start seeing some patterns in your thoughts.

Are your thoughts generating the feelings you want? Maybe it's time to start working on changing those thoughts.

I think some of us hit our 40's or 50's and find ourselves just going through the motions, surviving each day. We have ticked the boxes; education ☑️ career ☑️, relationship ☑️, home ☑️, children ☑️.

We spend years looking after others and stop thinking about our dreams and aspirations. We push away those thoughts and try to find fulfillment in other ways - such as overdrinking, overeating, bingeing Netflix or scrolling through Facebook.

We only get to take this ride once so let's make the most out of it.
